| Description / Special Requirements | A secure room for computer equipment modules associated with imaging equipment, also known as a Technical Room. The room will be located adjacent to the Imaging Procedure room or the Control Room. Modules which may be installed in this room include control cabinets, power cabinets, transformer cabinet and heat exchange units. Room temperature must be maintained for heat generating equipment. Cable ducts from Procedure Room and the Computer Equipment Room may be required. Special Design Requirements: - Computer equipment may require protection from power surges and spikes - Consideration should be given to provision of an uninterruptible power supply where loss of data input may compromise patient care or patient information - The computer equipment room should be sized and equipment installed to manufacturer's requirements - A raised access floor may be required for cabling access |
